The Mexican culture has been know to have “machismo”. Where its all about the guys, where a girls voice does not count and it is necessary for a girl to find a man. Women stay home, cook, clean, and raise the children while the guy goes to work and brings the money and only does things that are considered “guy stuff”.     What I love about my dad is that although he grew up in that environment he does not expect me to live that life. He makes sure that my priority is school so I will never depend on a guy. He makes sure that I understand that my voice counts and no guy should take that away from me.     When it comes to cars and even stuff like putting on flooring, installing insulation anything he knows he makes sure I know how to do it. He doesn’t care if it is considered “men work”. I never would have thought that media can be considered so many things. We are surrounded by media and use it every day. Whether that is with the radio, TV, podcast, social media, news and many more. The more I look at it the more I see that we are influence by media. Kids these days are growing up with media and honestly that's all they see. When I see my nephews I see them either attached to the TV or to a mobile device. It can even get to the point where they don't want to go outside and play anymore. They would choose to stay inside then to go outside and play with bikes or with friends. I even notice that they seem to be more isolated. When it comes to my whole family, I realize that there isn't that much talking. They are all attached to some type of media. My siblings are on their phones not talking to one another. My parents are stuck watching television whether that is news or YouTube. I'm even guilty of using my phone and not talking to them. There is l...
