Intro 2

Hi every one! My name is Salma Villegas. I am 19 years old living in Phoenix Arizona. I was born in a small little town in California. I do miss it, but although I was not a big fan of moving it all was for the better. I have met many new people and some have become one of my closes friends. There has been very good opportunities given to me here in Arizona that have helped me get closer to my dream in becoming a nurse.

I am currently a college student working for my Associates of Arts. My goal is to be accepted into the nursing program. I wish to become a neonatal nurse in the future. In the summer I would like to take some classes and become a CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant). Although I know it will be hard I feel like it will be very helpful in the future when I do become a nurse.

Some of the things that I love doing is volunteering. I volunteer in the Hospital in the information desk and in the WIS (Women and Infants Services). I have learned many new things here and there of birth recording, ethics and a few more. I have talked to a few nurses and CNAs that have been very helpful and have given me advice in how to do things for when I get into the field. As a volunteer I have the privilege of entering the NICU. Since I am allowed in I get to see what to expect for the future. Although I don't do much I still get to experience the environment.
